PURPOSE:To decrease recording errors and to make stable traveling of recording paper possible by detecting the patterns printed on the recording paper and controlling the positions of a recording paper feeder and a recording head by the output thereof. CONSTITUTION:The patterns 8 printed with dark color ink or magnetic ink on recording paper 6 are detected optically or magnetically with a sensor, and the outputs thereof are inputted via an amplifier 15, a coefficient device 16, an adder 17, and a main amplifier 18 to a recording head driving mechanism 5, by which the position of the recording head is corrected. On the other hand, the displacement in the transverse direction of the paper 6 is detected with a light source as well and a photosensor 20 and the patterns 8, and in accordance with the position information of the recording paper, a sprocket driving ring 3 is moved in the transverse direction by as much as said displacement by a recording paper driving mechanism 4. Thereby, recording errors are decreased and the stable traveling of the recording paper is made possible. |
