PURPOSE:To record an image by applying an aqueous soln. of dithiooxalatopalladate to a support, imagewise exposing the resulting material to an ultraviolet light source, and developing it with a physical developer. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous soln. of dithiooxalatopalladate represented by a formula M2[Pd(C2O2S2)2] (where M is an alkali metal or ammonium) is optionally mixed with a binder such as PVA or gelatin, applied to a support, and dried. The resulting photosensitive layer is imagewise exposed to an ultraviolet light source and developed with a prescribed physical developer. The sensitive wavelength range of this recording material is about 250-400nm, and the material is not sensitive to an ordinary fluorescent lamp, so it can be developed in a daylight room. since the thermal decomposition temp. of the salt is high, the dry plate is stable at room temp. and can be preserved over a long time. |
