<p>Plastic films are (i) continuously coated with composition comprising a dispersion of colloidal silica in an aliphatic alcohol-water solution of the partial condensate of a silanol to which there has been added a small amount of a buffered latent silanol condensation catalyst and a minor proportion, sufficient to promote flow, of a beta -hydroxy ketone compound and (ii) thereafter transported to a heated zone for rapid curing.</p> |
