PURPOSE:To allow air cooling to be thoroughly useful and to make compact and light in weight by a construction wherein the end base of a heat pipe is made to stick to a laser discharge tube and a radiating fin is provided by fixing it into the front end part of the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a laser discharge tube 10 is laid horizontally, the central part of a heat pipe 11 in the form of a sheet is wound on the tube to form a heat receiving assembly 12 on the one hand, whereas both ends of the heat pipe 11 is made to stick themselves together to form a radiator assembly 13. The reason for this is that radiating fins 14 are planted to supply air for cooling purposes.Even when the laser discharge tube is installed vertically, the heat generated from the laser discharge tube 20 may be effectively radiated through the heat pipe 21 and the tube may be sufficiently cooled. Use of heat pipes 11, 21 made of aluminum or aluminum alloy and extruded into sheets facilitates their assembling. |
