PURPOSE:To recover a gas and liquid for combustion efficiently, by moving a self roaster formed with a fed waste tire by the oxidative combustion at the bottom of a furnace in a specific shape at the part below the dry distilling position, and carrying out the dry distillation. CONSTITUTION:A waste tire or crushed tire is fed into a furnace in the form of straight cylinder or extending downward at the part below the dry distilling position by a charging conveyor 2, and stopped in the state of almost filling a zone (C). Air is blown from tuyere 6, and a burner 7 is ignited to form a combustion zone. At a given temperature of the combustion zone, the burner is stopped to supply only air thereafter and continue the combustion. The dry distillation is carried out in passing the combustion gas through the charged tire layer, and volatile combustibles are vaporized and together with the combustion gas taken out of the discharging outlet 9 to the outside of the furnace. The drawn gas is then freed from the solid and utilized as a fuel in another combustion apparatus. |
