PURPOSE:To collect the particulates in the exhaust gas efficiently by spraying water into the exhaust gas under air pressure. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas from an engine is fed from a pipe 3 through porous plates 4, 9 into a chamber 22, where the water 8 in a lower water tank 6 is compressed by means of the compressed air fed from outside through air pipes 12, 15 and is sprayed through a pipe 10, thus the particulates in the exhaust gas are dissolved in the water. When the water passes through porous plates 24, 28, it attaches to wall faces and drips to gather below, then flows into the water tank 6 through a hole 31. Water is sprayed through a pipe 13 likewise as above, and the water is further mixed with the exhaust gas to dissolve particulates in it, then the moisture is removed through porous plates 35, 40, 43, 44, thus discharging the exhaust gas through mufflers 50, 60. |
