<p>PURPOSE:To produce guiding cylinders having excellent characteristics at a low cost by cutting a cylindrical body formed by plastic working, punching through- holes for prevention of pull out and forming internal moldings on one body then machining surfaces for guiding of tapes on the annular bodies. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical body formed by extrusion working is cut in accordance with the heights of upper and lower guiding cylinders 2, 3, and tapered through-holes Ha, Hb are punched at four places respectively, whereby an upper annular body 1a and a lower annular body 1b are worked. The bodies 1a, 1b are mounted in respective molds, into which molten Al is charged to mold internal moldings. The tapered projections solidified in the holes Ha, Hb constitute stoppers for preventing pull out of the bodies 1a, 1b. After the cylinders 2, 3 formed in one body with the internal moldings are treated under heating, the outside circumferential surfaces of the respective bodies 1a, 1b are machined to form surfaces for guiding of tapes with low friction. The cylinders 2, 3 are fixed to face to each other by means of a connector 4, and a rotary head pair is located in the opposed space.</p> |
