PURPOSE:To reduce the number of function keys to reduce the key space, by realizing a function rewritten by a key function rewriting means when a function key is operated. CONSTITUTION:A key input device is provided with function keys (FKA, FKB, and FKC) 18, 19, and 110, a request accepting part 111, and a processing part 112. An output part 17 as a means which rewrites functions of keys 18, 19, and 110 is connected to the processing part 112, and a memory 11 having a memory 12 for the key 18, a memory 13 for the key 19, and a memory 14 for the key 110 is connected to the output part 17. The accepting part 111 is provided with a comparing part 16 connected to a function definition table 15 for correspondence between memories and functions, and contents of the memory 11 are checked by the comparing part 16. The function rewritten by the output part is processed in the processing part 112 to reduce the number of function keys, and many functions are realized with a small number of key operations, and the key space is reduced. |
