PURPOSE:To obtain titled composition of excellent low temperature curability, free from drip during a suspension baking, capable of providing a coating film with smoothness free from any pinhole, high crosslinking density, adhesivity and water resistance, comprising an acetylene-conjugated diene random copolymer and a resin having a specific carbon-carbon double bond. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained, for example, through the following proces: (A) An aqueous medium prepared by binding to, (i) per 100g of a resin, (ii) 0.02-0.8mol of an acetylene-conjugated diene random copolymer is incorporated with (B) a second resin having carbon-carbon double bond carrying a basic group of formula (R1 and R2 are each H, halogen 1-6C hydrocarbon residue; R3 and R4 are each H, 1-10C organic group, or 1-7C cyclic structure with N; X is H or a bond, if X is bond, R1-bonded C and R2- bonded C are both constituents of the main chain), followed by the neutralization with (C) an acid to effect dispersion, and further, if required, adding (D) various solvents (e.g. ethyl cellosolve). EFFECT:Providing coating film with high surface hardness and flexibility. USE:For aqueous coatings, etc.
