The accessory for a drill consists of a hub (10) made of rubber engaged elastically over the body of the drill bit (M) and of flexible strands (11) made from plastic, distributed around the hub (10). The strands (11) are made of a single piece by die stamping together with a washer (12) crimped by its inner edge into a circular groove in the hub (10). While revolving, the drill bit (M) rotationally drives the hub (10) and the flexible strands (11) which, under the effect of the centripetal force, are deployed radially to form a screen which intercepts the particles falling from the ceiling without hiding the end of the drill bit (M) from the operator. <IMAGE>
