PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of construction of a retaining wall by a method in which the top and bottom plates of each block are connected at a right angle to the main wall, a pressure receiving plate is erected on the bottom plate, a key is projected downwards from the bottom plate of the lower-most stage block, mutually fitted into projection and concaved portions are formed in the vertically adjacent blocks. CONSTITUTION:The lowermost block 1 consists of a plate main wall 2, a top plate 3, a bottom plate 4, a key portion 5, and a pressure receiving plate, each being made of reinforced concrete. Also, intermediate and uppermost stage blocks 21 consists of a plate main wall 22, a top plate 23, a bottom plate 24, and a pressure receiving plate 26, each being made of reinforced concrete. In constructing them, the intermediate or uppermost stage block 21 is stacked up on the lower-most stage block 1 in such a way as to fit the concaved portion 35 with the projection 9, water drain holes 36 and 37, a water charging hole 38, a working window 39, and bolt hole 40 formed in the bottom plate 24 are matched with water drain holes 10 and 11, a water charging hole 12, a working window 13, and a bolt hole 14 formed in the top plate 3, and both the blocks 1 and 21 are combined with bolts. |
