PURPOSE:To permit a cold temperature power plant to be readily re-started shortly after its stop, by providing a temperature sensor in a flow passage downstream of a flow rate regulating valve, and by restricting a flow rate of LNG and the like in response to a temperature sensed out. CONSTITUTION:By supplying LNG retained in a storage tank 1 by a pump 2 into a heating medium condenser 4 via a flow rate regulating valve 3, LNG is heated up by a heating medium flowed from a heating medium turbine 15 in a Rankine cycle and then fed into a LNG evaporator 5 where LNG is heated and produced as NG by a sea water and the like flowed from a pipe 6 thereto. NG thus produced is then fed into a NG turbine 8 for pivoting the same to drive a generator 9 and the like. In such a power plant as mentioned above, an inlet temperature of LNG evaporator is sensed by means of a temperature sensor 17 and a flow rate regulating valve 3 is adjusted its opening amount in response to a temperature sensed so as to maintain the evaporator 5 temperature lower than a predetermined value while the plant is inoperative, thereby allowing LNG to flow at a reduced flow rate. |
