PURPOSE:To kick up an outboard engine at collision against an obstacle and then perform return action further enable the shallow water sail, by providing a check valve and opening and closing device in series respectively to two bypass passages communicating two chambers in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Pressure in the first chamber 23 is increased by collision against an obstacle to open an absorber valve 27 while extend a piston rod 21 and lift a swivel bracket 14 then kick up an outboard engine 10. Here a pressure rise of the chamber 23 opens the third check valve 37 and then opens a return valve 38. An opening condition of the valve 38 lasts for a certain time, after release of shocking force, if pressure of the second chamber rises by empty weight of the engine 10, oil is transferred to the first chamber through the valve 38 to hold the engine to a down position. At shallow water sailing, the engine 10 is set by a pin 18 to an optional position, and oil in the first chamber is transferred to the second chamber through a valve 33 to regulate pressure applied to a valve 28. |
