STRING ANALYSIS METHOD AND APPARATUS BASED ON PATH

Provided are a string analysis apparatus and a method thereof, for excluding a string which is not able to exist depending on a path where a code is executed to determine that a variable has an appropriate string. The string analysis method based on a path includes the steps of: generating path information associated with a path where a program code coded by an arbitrary programming language is executed; searching for a plurality of variables and a plurality of strings allocated to the plurality of variables, respectively, based on the path where the program code is executed; mapping the path information to each of the plurality of strings; and determining at least one string included in each of the plurality of variables at a particular spot of the program code, based on the path information mapped to each of the plurality of strings.
