<p>The present invention provides a preservative composition comprising one or more conventional preservatives, characterized in that the conventional preservative component is selected from the group consisting of benzoic acid, formaldehyde, a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one in a ratio of about 5:1 to 1:5, benzisothiazolone, and mixtures thereof; and the composition further comprises a second component having the chemical structure:
