<p>PURPOSE:To make a fuel pump and an air pump compact as a whole, by making the rotary shaft of an electric motor hollow, by supplying fuel to a fuel cup at one end of the rotary shaft, by providing an air supply fan which is rotated together with the rotary shaft and whose nozzle is placed around the fuel cup, and by integrating the fuel pump and the air pump together. CONSTITUTION:A hollow rotary shaft 4 is supported by bearings 2, 3 in a casing. An armature 5 and a commutator 6 are secured on the rotary shaft 4. An air supply fan 7 is secured near one end of the shaft 4. A fuel nozzle 8 is secured on the end of the shaft 4 so that the nozzle is located in a fuel cup 9. An air nozzle 10 is formed around the fuel cup 9. A fuel passage 11 and air inlet ports 12 are provided at the other end of the rotary shaft 4. When electricity is applied through brushes 15, the armature 5 is turned by the magnetic force interaction with a magnet 13 so that the air supply fan 7 and the fuel cup 9 are also turned. At that time, fuel carried from the fuel passage 11 into the fuel cup 9 through the rotary shaft 4 is atomized by air from the air nozzle 10.</p> |
