PURPOSE:To obtain lens or prism which has small molding shrinkage under atm. pressure, small internal strain and excellent optical characteristics when molded particularly by casting by curing the compsn. prepd. by compd. compounded with a curing agent, curing accelerator and stabilizer with a liquid epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. prepd. by adding a curing agent such as acid ahydride having preferably small colorability and volatility, a curing accelerator such as tertiary amine, imidazoles or the like, and a stabilizer such as an org. tin compd., hydroquinone or the like for preventing coloring after curing to a liquid epoxy resin is molded at 70-130 deg.C under atm. pressure by using metallic molds, glass molds, etc. The glass molds are preferred in the case of the lens having high accuracy. Since the compsn. is liquid, injection molding is easy, but casting is more preferred. The lens, prism, etc. having better shrinkage, heat resistance, hardness, etc. are thus obtained more easily than other plastic lenses. |
