A liquid crystal display including: a substrate including a display area and a peripheral area, a plurality of thin film transistors disposed on the substrate in the display area, a plurality of pixel electrodes disposed on the plurality of thin film transistors and connected to the plurality of thin film transistor, respectively, a plurality of roof layers disposed on the plurality of pixel electrodes so as to face the plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of liquid crystal layers disposed in a plurality of micro cavities formed between the plurality of pixel electrodes and the roof layer, and a capping layer covering liquid crystal inlets formed between the plurality of micro cavities and including a light blocking material suitable for inkjet processing, wherein the plurality of roof layers includes protrusion parts or concave parts disposed at one side of the plurality of roof layers adjacent to the capping layer.

1. A liquid crystal display comprising:
a substrate including a display area and a peripheral area; a plurality of thin film transistors disposed on the substrate in the display area; a plurality of pixel electrodes disposed on the plurality of thin film transistors and connected to the plurality of thin film transistor, respectively; a plurality of roof layers disposed on the plurality of pixel electrodes so as to face the plurality of pixel electrodes; a plurality of liquid crystal layers disposed in a plurality of micro cavities formed between the plurality of pixel electrodes and the roof layer; and a capping layer covering liquid crystal inlets formed between the plurality of micro cavities and including a light blocking material suitable for inkjet processing,wherein the plurality of roof layers includes protrusion parts or concave parts disposed at one side of the plurality of roof layers adjacent to the capping layer.
