PURPOSE:To enable designation of a desired color by selecting several specific colors which are nearest in color sensation from plural basic colors and using a side by side color mixing method. CONSTITUTION:For example, four colors which are nearest in color sensation in indicating a designation color are selected from plural basic colors, and these colors are expressed as the vertexes of a triangular cone in terms of the coordinates in an X-Y-Z spaces. In the case of selecting four colors, the colors are so selected while controlling in order that the designation color is positioned within the triangular cone. In the case of selecting three basic colors, the basic colors are so selected that the designation color enters the inside of the triangular shape peaking at the coordinates thereof, and in the case of two colors, the basic colors are so selected that the designation color is positioned within the straight line connecting the coordinates of said basic colors. The basic colors selected in such a way are mixed side by side to indicate a desired color, whereby the delicate change in the color tone is made adjustable and the excellent color designation is made possible without receiving any special limitation in selecting color material. |
