PURPOSE:To improve the service to the customers, by displaying a picture of a commodity of a department corresponding to a department key depression on a CRT display for a short time to eliminate the mis-operation of the department key by the operator. CONSTITUTION:The department registration is attained by inputting a sales data from a keyboard 1. A processor 2 processes the inputted sales data from the keyboard 1 based on a program stored in a read only memory 5, displays it on the CRT display 3 and issues a receipt from a printer 4. A picture data illustrating a diagram of a commodity being a representative to each deparment is stored in a random access memory 6. In depressing the department code key of the keyboard 1 at the department registration, the illustrated data of the corresponding department is read out and displayed on the entire screen of the CRT display 3 for a short time. |
