PURPOSE:To prevent backwater by communicating a back pressure in the primary side to the secondary side through a small communicating clearance at the time of water supply stoppage by a semiclosed check valve so that the back pressure in the secondary side may not become excessive by making the air vent area smaller than the diameter of the water supply tube. CONSTITUTION:In this apparatus, a union nut 2 is connected to a water supply source, and a coupler 4 is connected to a shower hose for instance. Water supply from the supply source pushes up a check valve 11 to close an air vent 6 by a vent valve 6 to supply the water flown into the secondary side of the valve body 1 to the shower hose through the coupler 4. On the other hand, when the water supply is shut off, the check valve 11 closes a water inlet by the resiliency of a coil spring 17, but its primary side 13 and secondary side 14 are communicated through a passage clearance 12. As a result, the back pressure in the primary side 13 is transmitted to the secondary side 14, and atmosphere is drawn into the secondary side through the vent 6. Further, the atmosphere is also drawn into the primary side 13 to disrupt the vacuum therein. |
