PURPOSE:To close up tightly the whole rotating part of a rotary encoder, and to execute a stable operation without being influenced by the external world by constituting so that a revolving shaft of the rotary encoder rotates by synchronizing with a revolving shaft of a rotating body by magnetic coupling. CONSTITUTION:A ring-like magnet 20 is fixed to the other end of a revolving shaft 14, and this magnet 20 is contained and closed up tightly with a cylindrical vessel-shaped cover 21 formed by a non-magnetic material. That is to say, a ring-like sealing member 22 consisting of an elastic body such as rubber, etc. is inserted between a flange 21a of the cover 21 and a fitting base 12, and this sealing member 22 maintains airtightly the inside of the cover 21 in the same way as a sealing member 16. On the outside circumference of this cover 21, a ring-like magnet 23 is placed on the same plane as the magnet 20, and this magnet 23 is supported by a magnet holding device 24 attached to a revolving shaft 10 of a rotating body. On the other hand, the other end of the magnet holding device 24 is fixed to the revolving shaft 10, and the magnet is rotated as one body with the revolving shaft 10, therefore, the revolving shaft 10 and 14 rotate at a synchronizing speed. |
