SHAPE ADDITION ROLLER AND DEVICE, AND FILM MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape addition roller and device for easily and efficiently manufacturing an optical film with a prism formed with an aimed shape and a film manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A wet film 43 is formed by flowing a dope on a running belt 46 to form a flow cast film and peeling from the belt 46. A plurality of recesses and salients are formed on a peripheral surface of a shape adding roller 68. A prism is formed in order by pressing the wet film 43 with solvent percentage content of 50 to 350% from a peeling surface side by the shape adding roller 68. An optical film 32 is obtained by drying the wet film 43 with the prism formed. The shape addition roller 68 satisfies 0.9×HW×{(CS/100)+1}≤HR≤1.1×HW×{(CS/100)+1}, where HR is height of the salient parts of the shape adding roller 68, HW is height of the prism of the optical film 32 and CS% is solvent percentage content of the wet film 43 during pressing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
