PURPOSE:To decrease a bit error rate and peak shift by selecting a code from the divided 1st information group and 2nd information group and converting the code so that the consecution of identical level of a signal after the NRZI modulation is the prescribed number of times or below. CONSTITUTION:An identifying circuit 14 is provided to the output side of shift registers 3, 4. When a special code does not exist, the identification circuit 14 feeds its output, e.g., ''0'' to conversion logics 5, 6 to attain normal operation. On the other hand, when the special code exists, the identification circuit 14 feeds its output, e.g., ''1'' to the conversion logics 5, 6 to select the code where five ''0s'' are not consecutive, for example, depending on the type of the specific code. |
