PURPOSE:To permit preclusion of clogging at an orifice by detecting a change in value of resistance to determine a completion of ink filling during the period of a suspended operation of an ink globule jetting device. CONSTITUTION:After completion of printing operation, a valve device 17 of an ink globule jetting device is changed over and a front chamber 8 is communicated with the atmosphere. If an air pump 14 is operated under the condition, the pressure of ink within the chamber 5 gradually increases in comparison with the pressure within the front chamber 8, and eventually the ink starts flowing from the first orifice into the front chamber 8. And the ink within the air supply pipe 15 rises and wets the detector electrode 23, resulting in, by the ink, a drastic reduction in the value of resistance between the body 22 and the detector electrode 23 and the completion of ink filling is detected. As mentioned above, the ink within the front chamber surely covers the first orifice during the time of suspended operation, resulting in a perfect prevention of clogging due to the main reason of drying of ink at the first orifice. |
