PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic alloy having improved initial permeability by blending specified percentages of Ni, Cr, Si, O, N and Fe. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic alloy consisting of, by weight, 76-81% Ni, 2-6% Cr, 0.05-1.5% Si, <=0.01% O, <=0.005% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is prepd. The alloy is provided with very high initial permeability such as about >=100,000 without requiring any special attention to the cooling rate, etc. after annealing.
