PURPOSE:To enable a transfer material to be replaced easily and in a short time, by fitting a transfer material cassette to a cassette-fitting part opposed to a transferring part so that it can be drawn out and pushed in, in a thermal transfer type image-forming device. CONSTITUTION:A transfer ribbon 15 is enclosed in a cassette casing 33 to form a ribbon cassette 14, which is fitted to the cassette-fitting part 41 opposed to the transferring part 11 so that it can be drawn out and pushed in. Further, spare ribbon cassettes 14 are contained in a containing unit 43 therefor. The unit 43 comprises a rotary base 44 forming a plurality of cassette-containing parts 49, is provided adjacently to the part 41 of the main body of the device having a width W, is provided with an auto-changer, and the entire width thereof inclusive of the auto-changer can be made to be about W+Wc, so that not any special space for replacing the ribbon cassette is required at the side part of the main body of the device. Accordingly, the transfer material can be replaced easily and in a short time. |
