PURPOSE:To bring an automatically supplied paper into close contact with a platen without generating raised parts or the like, by fitting a return spring to a press roller arm or a press roller to constantly maintain the press roller in contact with the platen. CONSTITUTION:To automatically supply a sheet form paper 14, the uppermost one of the sheets contained in a sheet cassette 11 is fed along a paper guide 15 by passing between feeding-in rollers 12, and when the leading end of the sheet passes by a sheet form paper sensor 8, a solenoid 1 is operated to attract a slidable member 2, thereby pulling the lower end of the press roller arm 3. At this time, the press roller 6 located at the upper end of the arm 3 is separated form the platen 7, so that the sheet form paper 14 inserted from the lower side is passed along the guide 15, and is fed between the platen 7 and the roller 6. When the sheet form paper 14 is fed to a predetermining printing position, the press roller 6 is pressed against the platen 7 by the force of the return spring 9, whereby the paper is clamped and fed, and is printed by a printing head 10. Accordingly, the sheet form paper can be favorably fed. |
