PURPOSE:To return automatically indication of a counter to the zero position surely after degaussing of a magnetic disc by providing the counter, which drives a counter device during the degaussing operation or after degaussing, with a lock release device and a counter reset device. CONSTITUTION:Lock of the counter device is released when an already recorded magnetic disc cassette is so set that a lock release hole 9 of a casing 1 and a hook hole of a counter 8 are inserted and fitted to a lock release pin and an engaging shaft 36 respectively, and a degaussing swtich is depressed to perform degaussing; and when a motor 40 is rotated forward, an engaging pin 34 is rotated together with the engaging shaft 36 through a rotation transmission pin 35, and the rotation transmission pin 35 is engaged with a display part of the hook hole of the counter 8 on the way of rotation, and the counter 8 is rotated together with the engaging shaft 36 as one body. The motor 40 is rotated reverse in this position, and the motor 40 is stopped when a zero position detecting switch detects the zero position, and the degaussing operation is stopped then. |
