PURPOSE:To prevent scumming or absorption of moisture from occurring, by providing a moisture-proofing heat-fusible protective layer on the surface of an ink layer of an ink sheet which surface is brought into contact with a transfer recording paper. CONSTITUTION:The heat-fusible moisture-proofing protective layer 5 is provided on the surface of the ink layer 2 which surface is brought into contact with the transfer paper. When an electric current is passed into a resistor layer 4 by a uncurrent-passing head 22a, 22b, the layer 4 generates heat, whereby the ink layer 2 and the protective layer 5 are thermally melted, and the ink is transferred to the recording paper, resulting in transfer recording. Since the protective layer 44 is present between the paper and the ink layer 43 at parts other than the transferring means, scumming can be prevented from occurring, and since the ink layer is not exposed directly to air, absorption of moisture into the ink layer can be prevented from occurring. |
