<p>An apparatus and method for testing AC operated detonators, such as those used in the "Magnadet" system. A suitable amount of charge is stored in a capacitor and this charge is discharged through the detonator module to be tested. The voltage or current through the detonating module is then representative of the resistance of the detonating module. In a preferred form the peak voltage is detected, which is directly representative of the detonating module.</p> |
