PURPOSE:To improve resistance of the captioned steel cord to peeling off rubber by twisting more than two kinds of metal filaments with different diameter into predetermined single twist structure for the captioned tire cord for car. CONSTITUTION:More than two kinds of metal filaments 1, 1' with different diameter are twisted into single twist structure of 1X3, 1X4 or 1X5, and the differences in change of stress and strain applied to each filament 1, 1' during calender process and vulcanization process are enlarged to make each filament mobile. Due to this structure, fluidized rubber quenched during calender process and fluidized rubber in the early stage of vulcanization during the vulcanization process come to easily infiltrate into the central hollow part of the cords. This increases irregularities on the surface of the cords to enable not only improvement of their adhesion to rubber but also prevention of their peeling off rubber. |
