PURPOSE:To stabilize a power system and to suppress rocking of the system by using a self-excited AC-DC converter consisting of a self-extinction element to control the phase and the magnitude of a fundamental wave independently. CONSTITUTION:An AC converter 10 consisting of the self-extinction element has an AC terminal connected to a three-phase AC power source and has a DC terminal connected to a three-phase AC power source and has a DC terminal connected to a superconductive coil 7. This available/reactive power controller is provided with a voltage detector 18 which detects the power source voltage of the system through a transformer 17, a current detector which detects the current of said coil 7, a zero point detector which detects the zero point of a phase voltage, and command circuits 21 and 22 which give available and reactive power commands. An apparent power command is operated in a means 23, and the first and the second phase angle commands are operated in means 24 and 25, and a gate pulse to said AC converter 10 is generated through a phase difference detector 28, an integrating element 30, etc. by a pulse generator 32 on a basis of a detected phase alpha0 of the zero point detector and a detected phase alpha of a phase detector 27 so that the pulse width of conduction command is changed. |
