PURPOSE:To improve workability and working efficiency by mounting a welding torch, an attracting device and chain driving mechanism, etc. to a traveling carriage which is suspended and supported by means of a chain. CONSTITUTION:The traveling carriage 11 suspended and supported by the chain 5 descends smoothly when the chain 5 is delivered from a gear box 15 by operating an operating part 20 such as a switch. A welding torch 17 is then lowered along the cross line which is a weld line and desired vertical fillet welding is thus executed. A limit switch 19 is actuated upon arriving of the carriage 11 at a lower limit position, then the traveling of the carriage 11 and the fillet welding by the torch 17 are simultaneously and automatically stopped and the specified fillet welding is completed. |
