PURPOSE:To extend and retract a wire such as, for example, a cord, from and into a wire winding and storing unit, by winding up the wire onto a bowl type winding and storing unit, and by providing a locking member which is locked in accordance with the degree of the pulling force exerted to the wire, in the above-mentioned bowl type winding and storing unit. CONSTITUTION:The substantially center section of a wire A such as, for example, a cord, is bifolded, and is engaged in an engaging groove in a plate member 3 in the center position of a winding and storing body 1 which is therefore, rotated by the wire so that the wire A is wound up by a suitable length. Then, the storing body 1 is fitted into a bowl type base 5, and an engaging pawl formed in the shaft end part of a plate member below the storing body 1 is engaged and locked to an engaging bent part in a coil spring disposed in the bowl type base 5. Then, the storing body is rotated by one turn to wind up the wire 10, enoughly. Finally, a cover 7 is capped onto the bowl type base 5 and is locked thereto. Accordingly, when the wire A is pulled in the direction of the arrow, the cover 7 and the bowl type base member 5 are rotated in the direction reverse to the wind-up direction, and therefore, the wire A may be drawn out by an optional length due to the provision of the coil spring, a locking member 11 on the storing body 1 and a locking cam body attached to the cover 7. |
