PURPOSE:To make the weight lighter and the size smaller by providing a magnetizing unit using a permanent magnet, plural detecting elements winding on a linear core consisting of a magnetic body, a high frequency electric power source unit and an electric circuit to output a magnetic flux change as a voltage change. CONSTITUTION:The flaw detecting device is constituted of a permanent magnet 5 to surround the part of a wire rope 1 and to magnetize the part thereof, plural detecting elements 9, 10 winding on a linear core 7, a high frequency electric power source unit 13 to magnetize the core 7 and an electric circuit 14 to output the change of magnetic flux detected by the detecting elements 9, 10 as the change in voltage. The detecting elements 9, 10 are then arranged to surround the wire rope 1 annularly. Consequently the magnetic field around the wire rope 1 can be detected continuously and the noizes caused by the vibration of the wire rope 1, the twisting construction of element wire, etc. are averaged and the existance of defects can easily be discriminated. |
