<p>PURPOSE:To attain multi-purpose utilization of a telephone set by fitting a portable storage device having the capacity of storage of a telephone number or a message to a telephone set main body attachably and detachably. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone call comes to the main body 1, a ''memo'' key of a function key group of a keyboard 17 of a portable storage device 11 is selected, the display of a liquid crystal display section 18 is switched to a display for document, a message is inputted and stored in a storage section 15. A remaining page possible for input and input waiting of an input start page are displayed on the display section 18. Then the numerical key group is operated, the start page is inputted, an ''edition'' key of a function key group is selected, the display section 18 is selected in the ''edition mode'', and the message is inputted sequentially by operating a character key group and a numeric key group.
