PURPOSE:To shorten a time required for copying operation by making index signals of two magnetic disks coincident with each other and then writing the contents of one disk on the other directly. CONSTITUTION:An index signal from a disk device 1 is differentiated and then sets a flip-flop circuit 6, and an index signal from a disk device 2 resets the circuit 6, so the circuit 6 is held set for the time difference between both index signals. A clock signal is supplied to a couner 7 during the period and the time difference whicb is clocked is latched by a latch circuit 8 on the arrival of the index signal from the device 2, so that the counter 7 is reset a slight time later. The contents of the latch circuit 8 are converted by a D/A converting circuit 9 into a voltage corresponding to the time difference to control the rotating speed of the motor of the device 2. This operation is repeated and when the time difference decreases to a specific set value and the index signals becomes coincident with each other, a signal WRITE GATE signal is supplied from a controller 3 to the floppy disk device 2 with the output of a detecting circuit 10, so that data read out of the device 1 are written in the device 1 directly. |
