PURPOSE:To execute printing at a high speed by a regular copying cycle by providing a paper handling mechanism, and executing alternately a transfer by the first color and a transfer by the second color, which is executed after the transfer by the first color. CONSTITUTION:Instead of a transfer drum used hitherto, a paper handling mechanism 6 is provided and contacted by pressure to a photosensitive drum 1. This paper handling mechanism 6 has plural (for instance, five parts) copying positions I -V placed at every prescribed interval, and it is constituted so that a form 5 supplied from the right in the figure to said position I -V can be turned and carried successively in a state that plural sheets have been held, and also can be delivered to a discharge paper path placed on the left by releasing this holding in accordance with necessity. Form detecting sensors 70-73 are provided on feed and discharge paper paths of the form 5 and in the carrying path in the paper handling mechanism 6, and its detecting output is monitored by an output detecting part 74. |
