PROCESS FOR VAPORIZING A LIQUID AND CONDENSING THE VAPORS THEREOF

A still contains an evaporator and a condenser coil. An external refrigeration system includes a compressor, which raises the temp. of the refrigerant working liq. The hot refrigerant passes through the evaporator coil and then through an exponsion valve before passing through the condenser coil. An auxiliary condenser coil is included in the still and is cooled via a separate working liq. A thermostat adjacent the condenser regulates the flow of this separate working liq. to maintain the thermal balance of the appts. The appts. may be used as a vapor degreaser where liq. is a degreasing solvent, e.g. trichlorotrifluoroethane.
