A mouth guard 100 comprises a housing 200 and an insert 300; the insert 300 is made from a thermoplastic material and the insert 300 is suitable for inserting into the housing 200; the insert 300 is softer than the housing 200 so that the insert 300 can be configured to engage or bond with the housing 200 in order to form a mouth guard 100 that is a single body; the insert 300 and housing 200 are preferably formed from ethylene vinyl acetate. An insert 300 suitable for use to make a mouth guard is also disclosed. A method of making a mouth guard is also disclosed wherein an insert 300 is heated; placed in a housing 200 and pressed to form a mouth guard. The pressing is preferably performed in a users mouth and the insert 300 is moulded to the teeth of the user in the same way as a boil and bite mouth guard. |
