PURPOSE:To perform rapid treatment, by applying heat-treatment to a liquid to be treated containing an inorg. cyanide compound in the coexistence of an inorg. reducing agent such as K2SO3. CONSTITUTION:To a liquid to be treated containing an inorg. cyanide compound potassium ferrocyanide, potassium ferricyanide or sodium ferrocyanide, 1-100mol per 100mol of a cyanide ion of an inorg. reducing agent (e.g., Na2SO3, K2SO3, NaNO3 or KNO2) is added. Subsequently, this liquid to be treated is heat-treated at 140-250 deg.C for 2-10hr.
