PURPOSE:To significantly minimize the variation in the emission of a cathode- ray tube by specifying the surface roughness and the luster reflectivity of at least the first and the second grid electrodes facing a cathode. CONSTITUTION:The cathode-ray tube of this invention is produced a cathode 5 and a first and a second grid electrode 7 and 8 having different electric potentials in a bead glass, in the neck. The surface roughness of the first and the second grid electrodes 7 and 8 is adjusted to 0.3mumRZ-2.5mumRZ and their luster reflectivity is adjusted to 30-55%. By thus adjusting the surface roughness and the luster reflectivity of the first and the second grid electrodes 7 and 8, the temperature of the cathode 5 is stabilized and the emission of the cathode-ray tube is greatly stabilized. |
