PURPOSE:To make it possible to arbitrarily adjust the lateral position of a hard copy picture plane by changing a delay time of the variable delay means that delays a horizontal synchronous signal to change counting of the dot clock after the horizontal synchronous signal is issued. CONSTITUTION:The delay horizontal synchronous signal to be outputted from variable delay means 5 is delayed by (t) from the original synchronous signal, and when this delay synchronous signal is inputted to sampling counter means 3, an initial value is inputted from frame counter means 4. Therefore, dot clock counting is started from the dot clock first appearing after the delay horizontal synchronous signal is input. As an example, when sampling counter means 3 counts value (q), a carry output is generated, and assuming said initial value to be zero, sampling clock occurs at the q-th dot clock after the delay horizontal synchronous signal is issued. Therefore, when changing delay time (t), the lateral position of the printed picture plane can be arbitrarily adjusted. |
