PURPOSE:A hair cosmetic, containing a specific germicide, e.g. pyrithione zinc, and extract of Luffa cylindrica together, capable of reducing the concentration of the above-mentioned germicide without deteriorating antidandruff effect and having improved safety. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic, obtained by incorporating (A) an extract from Luffa cylindrica and (B) >=1 germicides selected from pyrithione zinc, triclosan, trichlorocarbanilide, salicylic acid, sodium benzoate, hinokitiol, photosensitive element, halocarban, chlorhexidine gluconate and benzalkonium chloride in a air cosmetic such as a shampoo in the following ratios based on the total cosmetic composition: >=0.005wt%, preferably >=0.01wt% component (A) and preferably 0.00001-5wt% component (B), and capable of adjusting metabolic reaction in scalp tissue appropriately to prevent significantly formation of dandruff and improving safety by decreasing remarkably the amount of said germicides to be used. |
