PURPOSE:To enable a factory automation for introduction and delivery operation for a heat process tank, etc., by providing more than one of first racks for receiving thereon articles to be treated, and more than one of second racks which may be reciprocated above the former by a drive means, in the tank in the vicinity of an automatic opening and closing section thereof. CONSTITUTION:After opening of a door 4, a second rack 11 is pushed out at a position aligned with the position of a first rack 10, as indicated by the chain line with the timing of the opening of the door 4, and then an article to be treated is set thereon by a robot arm or the like. Further, with the timing of releasing the grasp of the robot arm, a drive mechanism 16 is operated to retract the second rack 11 to a position indicated by the solid line. Then the robot arm sets the article 30 to be treated on the first rack 10 without no displacement. The similar steps are treated at middle and lower stages, etc. After every rack is loaded, the door 4 is closed under automatic control, and then heat treatment, etc. is initiated. After completion of the treatment, the treated articles 32 are taken out.
