发明名称 OPTICAL MEMORY MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the hue of a material to be locally changed by irradiation with laser light and enable the material to be applied to optical memory, by constituting the material of an Au and Cu based amorphous alloy. CONSTITUTION:An Au and Cu based amorphous alloy is produced by, for exam ple, liquid quenching, vapor deposition, sputtering, laser fusing or electrodeposi tion, and is used as an optical memory material. The alloy preferably has a composition of the formula, wherein 0<=a<=0.5, 0<=b<=20, 16<=c<=30, 0<=d<=10 and 16<=c+d<=30, wherein b, c and d are at%. In the formula, M is selected from Ag, Ni, Pd, Pt, Co, Rh, Ir, Fe, Ru, Os, Mn, Cr, Mo, W, X, Si, Ge, Sn and Pb, and Y is selected from P, As, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb and Ta. When an alloy having a composition of the formula wherein 0.3<=1<=1, 0<=b<=20, 0<=c<=10, 10<=d<=5 and 10<=c+d<=50 is used, the alloy can be easily made amorphous, and the change in hue upon crystallization of the alloy by laser light or heat is large, so that the alloy is suitable for use as an optical memory material.
