DEVICE FOR WIRE ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE

Devices working with wire electrodes are guided to the work position via drive-and back-up rolls which are coated with a ceramic material of the silicon carbide group. Specifieally the rolls are made of a metallic core coated with the ceramic material. A pair of drive back-up rolls are located on each side of the workpiece where the wire passes. A guide tube is also located between the rolls.
