摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of a tool by welding a powdery mixture of prescribed ceramics with a heat resistant metal as a binder to the surface of the base material of the tool to form a cermet layer contg. no Cr carbide. CONSTITUTION:A powdery mixture of ceramics contg. or producing no Cr carbide with a heat resistant metal as a binder is build-up welded to the surface of the base material of a tool by plasma powder welding to form a cermet layer. The surface layer of the tool brought into contact with a Cr-contg. phase to be worked is made of the cermet layer contg. no Cr carbide.
