MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To permit suppression of crosstalk noise by bleeding of a magnetic flux to a low level by disposing a magnetic shielding zone between magnetic material tracks adjacent to each other in the direction orthogonal with a magnetic pole direction where information is recorded. CONSTITUTION:A sputtered Cr film 3 is formed on the surface of an Ni-P plating film 2 of an Al alloy substrate 1 and the magnetic material tracks 5 are formed on the surface of the film 3. A CrO2 film 4 is formed on a part of the surface of the film 3 and the magnetic shielding zone 6 is formed thereto. The shielding zone 6 has the axis (b) of easy magnetization orthogonal with magnetic pole direction (a) where the information is recorded and since said zone has the function to surely prevent the crosstalk by the bleeding of the magnetic flux between the magnetic material tracks 5 and 5 adjacent to each other in the direction orthogonal with the magnetic pole direction, the crosstalk noise by the bleeding is extremely decreased.
